🔥 The Tea on This Yarn:
- Fiber Content: 70% merino wool, 30% cashmere. Yarn needs at least 10% cashmere to be called cashmere yarn. This goes above and beyond with a great benefit vs value blend. 9/10
- Color Range: With 21 unique colors, there’s an acceptable but not great variety. 7/10
- Frogability: Super easy 🐸 (undoing your mistakes has never been smoother… too bad life doesn’t work like that). 10/10
- Splitting: Yep, a bit splitty for us lefties. Southpaws, unite in frustration. ✋😂 7/10
- Stitch Definition: Pretty decent for a yarn with a tad bit of halo. 8/10
- Feel: Not as soft as on the donut but still pretty nice overall. I can feel the wool as I work with it but I don’t think it comes through on the finished project. 7/10
- Drape: This is a nice drape for a DK weight yarn. Just what I would expect. 10/10
- Washability: Handwash only but that’s what I’d expect for a cashmere yarn so I won’t deduct for that. 10/10
- Warnings or concerns: It’s not super soft to work with despite the end product being ok. I think it would work up softer if it’s knit. 7/10
- Price: A very reasonable price for a cashmere yarn. 9/10
✨ Overall verdict: Would make a wonderful sweater yarn at a reasonable (but not cheap) cost. 8.4/10 Fun fact to close it out: Magnolia trees are special due to their ancient lineage, large and fragrant blossoms, and evergreen or deciduous foliage.
