The Great Crochet T-Shirt Experiment Part 2 – Selecting the Yarn and Doing a Gauge Swatch
Have you ever wondered how different yarns, such as cotton vs wool or solid vs variegated work up in a crochet pattern? Well I have! And I thought testing out yarns on the same pattern would be a great way to experiment and see how things turn out.
Since I wear more t-shirts than anything else, I opted to use a basic tee for my project.
Goal: Crochet 3 to 5 t-shirts using the same pattern but with different yarns in order to get a better idea of how yarn fibers and color patterns effect crochet design.
This is part 2 of this experiment where I decide on which yarn I want to use and work up a gauge swatch. In this episode, you’ll see how I find the right yarns for the pattern starting with what’s in my stash.
