Much of the yarn in each Adventures in Yarning package is Reclaimed or Rescued.

We are on a mindful, minimal-waste mission to elevate forgotten fibers. This means we actively hunt down and rescue extraordinary skeins from vintage lots, forgotten stashes, discontinued heritage lines, and archival collections. We love giving these timeless, unique fibers a second chance to become something beautiful on your hook, rather than letting them sit in storage.

Occasionally, when Farrah finds something truly “out of sight,” we will include a unique, specialty, or indie dyer new find to test your skills.

Here is our strict sourcing promise to you:

• Mindful Fiber Rescue: Every package contains high-quality, inspiring skeins that have been curated for their beauty.
• Unique Discovery: You will explore textures and bases that aren’t your typical low cost acrylic.
• Strictly Zero Big-Box Filler: While we love a bargain, Farrah has a strict “no kitsch” law. You will never receive mass-produced commercial yarn sourced from big-box retailers like Michaels, Hobby Lobby, or Walmart. Every skein is selected to expand your hook’s horizons.

Some of the yarn will be sourced as new from other sources to help ensure variety and uniqueness.

Because we work primarily with rescued, reclaimed, and archival skeins, safety and quality inspection are our top priorities before any yarn ever reaches your craft room.

Here is our inspection and safety process:

• Pest & Moth Quarantine: Every single skein undergoes a strict quarantine and freezing protocol to ensure it is completely free of pests, moths, or larvae before sorting.
• Structural & Fiber Integrity Check: Every skein is inspected by hand to ensure the fiber has not degraded, become brittle, or broken down with age. If a yarn doesn’t have the strength and texture to hold up under your hook, it doesn’t make the cut.
• Pet Environment Transparency: While every skein is inspected, we source from diverse stashes and collections and cannot guarantee that all yarn comes from a pet-free environment. If you have severe pet allergies, please keep this in mind when ordering.
• The Inherent Nature of Rescued Fibers: Rescued and vintage yarns come with their own unique history and character. While we take every step to ensure your yarn is clean, strong, and ready to stitch, working with pre-loved materials always carries an element of discovery and natural variation compared to fresh factory-spun skeins.

Every package in a monthly release follows the exact same cohesive color palette and theme. However, because our focus is on mindful fiber rescue, pre-loved collections, archival lots, and limited vintage gems, no two parcels are guaranteed to have identical skeins:

• Unified Palette, Diverse Skeins: All boxes share the same monthly color story, but the specific yarn brands, weights, and textures inside will vary based on the the inventory we have rescued.
• Occasional Matching Bundles: If we rescue a larger dye lot or stash quantity of a particular yarn, a few boxes might share matching skeins. Otherwise, expect a unique, hand-curated 1-of-1 exploration kit.
• Consistent Target Value: Regardless of which specific skeins land in your box, every package is built to deliver equal value, discovery, and creative potential.

To keep our initial drops focused on true 1-of-1 discovery and limited reclaimed batches, every parcel is currently curated as a complete ‘Surprise Me’ exploration within the monthly color story!
